*Update* Collecting Assignment 2/24/2010

Okay so I have a couple of weeks of unposted photos taken of my collection progress. For some reason my digital cam's memory SD card wouldn't sync with my computer; I only just got it working literally on Monday night. Thank goodness. Now it's not the first time this has happened when I needed to upload items onto my computer. It's sad I know -- but it's working now. So hopefully it will stay that way for a long time..

Update with a ton more of parts. Too many to list but definitely at or near a grand ($1000) worth of parts, that's for sure:

Finally finished up the project!

I am proud to announce some further updates pertaining to me project. So far I've gotten the hand and forearm guards finished in terms of painting, finishing, weathering, clear coating, detailing and clear coated. Mixed and matched if you will. You will definitely without a doubt see some mess-ups and or areas that look like it was rushed through. Which they were. However, I am quite pleased on how everything turned out. I've also finished the soft parts of the armor as well. The shoulder padding was finished up with some hem tape and eyelets and laced up. The forearm padding was re-finished in terms of re-lacing. So now all I have to do is finish the shoulder plates (3 of them) and find a way to mount everything on. Basically I'm about 65% finished. I am anxiously looking forward to finishing everything and being able to wear it as a finished product! Here is some picture documentation:









Also on another note. I have yet to take pictures of what I'm collecting. So those will be up sometime this weekend or Monday at the latest. I am lazy I know...but I also do have other classes as well..
